An Opinel is a classic for a reason, but it’s not always the easiest knife to carry loosely in a pocket. I designed this sheath to provide a secure, rugged home for your favorite French blade, ensuring it stays protected and right where you need it.

Like everything else in my shop, these are built with a focus on "fit, finish, and symmetry." I use high quality vegetable-tanned leather that is stiff at first but will mold perfectly to your knife’s handle over time, developing a rich patina that only gets better with age.

Premium Materials: Crafted from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather

Hand-Finished Edges: Every edge is meticulously sanded and burnished with beeswax for a smooth, professional feel that won’t fray or fuzzy up.

Heavy Duty Stitching: Sewn with bonded nylon thread to ensure the seams never give out, even with daily hard use.

Secure Fit: Designed specifically for the Opinel No. 08 (and available for other sizes upon request). It holds the knife snugly so you don't have to worry about it sliding out.
